February is Black History month, a time to honor the rich history, resilience, creativity, and leadership of Black leaders and communities past and present, including Justice Thurgood Marshall, our school’s namesake. We are also observing Black Lives Matter this week at TME. Each grade level has a learning activity for each day of the week and teachers typically include their grade level lessons for the week in their monthly newsletters.
