5/8 Thurgood Marshall Day
We celebrated the life of Justice Thurgood Marshall at our morning assembly. We also welcomed judges and attorneys who spoke about how Justice Marshall impacted their lives and careers.
5/7 Staff Appreciation Week
Today, as part of Staff Appreciation Week, FTME spoiled our teachers and staff with a make-your-own bouquet flower bar and lots of snacks and treats.
4/24 Talent Show
Friday evening, 4/24, was the Talent Show final performance. Over 20 Bull Pups worked very hard for the past several months to practice their performance and proudly shared their talents on stage to a packed audience.
4/24 Seattle Storm Visit
Last Friday, 4/24, we had an exciting visit from the Seattle Storm (including Doppler!) for a morning assembly. The Storm also generously presented Thurgood Marshall Elementary with $5,000 for the Fit Futures, a community initiative providing Title One schools with equal access to physical activity and financial literacy education.
4/7 Superintendent Visit
This past Tuesday, 4/7, Thurgood Marshall Elementary warmly welcomed Superintendent Ben Shuldiner for a visit, along with School Board members Jen LaVallee, Vivian Song, and Liza Rankin. Superintendent Shuldiner’s goal is to visit all of Seattle Public School’s 106 schools within his first 100 days.
4/6 FTME Membership Meeting
Our monthly FTME membership meeting is Monday 4/6, 6:30-7:30pm on Zoom. Please email fundraising@tmlink.org if you would like to join! Membership is free and we always welcome more members. We are also looking for board members for next year.
